Enhancing quality accreditation based on AUN-QA standards towards
regional and international integration
In attempts to become one of the high ranking
universities at national and regional levels, CTU has
been seriously implementing the quality assurance
system based on national and international standards for
all training programs. In 2013, one of the undergraduate
training programs of CTU, the Agricultural Economics,
was certified by AUN. At the same time, in July 2013,
CTU was officially admitted to become the 30
th member
University of AUN (the ASEAN University Network).
These remarkable events provided more opportunities
for CTU to gain more in-depth understanding into the
insights of AUN-QA
standards, learn more
experience from other
university members,
and sustain stronger
motivation to further
promote the quality
assurance.
In 2014, CTU had two more undergraduate programs
named as Advanced Biotechnology and Advanced
Aquaculture (trained in English language) certified
with AUN-QA standards. Besides, the University began
to implement the internal quality assessment based
on AUN-QA standards for seven training programs,
including four undergraduate programs and three
postgraduate ones.
Inheriting such initial experience and success in quality
assurance activities, in 2015, CTU will continue to
conduct internal quality assessment towards five undergraduate programs, of which three
programs will be based on AUN-QA standards and two ones based on ABET standards.
