The study was carried out to evaluate effect of factors temperature and chemicals on the growth of fungal Fusarium sp. in order to find out the solution to control fungal pathogen infection on freshwater aquatic animal. The experiments have used five strains of Fusarium sp. which isolated from diseased striped catfish and stored at Mycelia Laboratory under 5 °C at College of Aquaculture and Fisheries, Can Tho University, Viet Nam. The study investigated the effect of temperature, Methylene blue (MB produced in Spain, water soluable, and fomular C16H18ClN3S), Bronopol (Protectol BN produced in Thai Lan, soluable in metanol 89%, and fomular C3H6BrNO4 (2-Bromo-2-nitropropane-1,3-diol)) on the growth of spores and hyphal growth and conidia. The results showed that optimal temperature of Fusarium sp. srains ranged from 27 oC to 30 oC. They can slowly grow at 24 oC. Methylene blue inhibited the gowth of hyphal and conidia of Fusarium sp. at the concentration of 60 ppm. Bronopol inhibited the gowth of hyphal and conidia of Fusarium sp. at the concentration of 200 ppm.
