The Mekong Delta region in Vietnam is particularly vulnerable to the impacts of climate change, such as sea level rise, extreme weather events, and changing precipitation patterns. These challenges pose significant threats to the region's tourism industry, which is a vital contributor to local economies and livelihoods. Developing climate-resilient strategies is crucial for safeguarding the industry and ensuring long-term sustainable development in the Mekong Delta region. This study aimed to explore the development of effective climate-resilient strategies and solutions for the tourism industry in the Mekong Delta region, focusing on protecting the environment and ensuring sustainable growth in the face of climate change. A mixed-methods research approach was employed, including a comprehensive literature review, expert interviews, and case studies of successful climate-resilient tourism initiatives in the Mekong Delta region. Data were analyzed using qualitative and quantitative methods to identify key factors and best practices for implementing climate-resilient strategies in the regional context. The study identified several climate-resilient strategies for the Mekong Delta's tourism industry, such as promoting eco-tourism, diversifying tourism products, enhancing infrastructure resilience, and building capacity for climate change adaptation among local stakeholders. Additionally, the study revealed the importance of integrating climate change considerations into tourism planning and policy-making processes in the region. By adopting effective climate-resilient strategies, the Mekong Delta's tourism industry can mitigate the adverse effects of climate change, protect its valuable natural and cultural resources, and ensure sustainable development. These findings provide valuable insights for policymakers, tourism operators, and other stakeholders in the Mekong Delta region to enhance the resilience of the tourism industry and support sustainable growth in the face of climate change.
