This method helps to quickly select the individuals that have desirable traits before breeding, and determine the satisfactory offsprings in order to shorten the breeding selection. Growing and evaluating the purity and yield of selected lines in 2012-2013 on the field to evaluate the agronomic characteristics, yield and quality before releasing for production. From results of breeding and selecting on the field, two very short duration varieties that have plant type suitable for production requirements were selected: MTL815 with 79-83-day growing duration, good rice (chalkiness rate 9 of 4.6%) and low amylose content (23.5%), and MTL816 with 80-85-day growing duration, very good rice (chalkiness rate 9 of 0%), fragrant and low amylose content (19.2%). These rice varieties were also evaluated for resistance to the brown planthopper and blast disease. Từ kết quả lai tạo và chọn lọc ngoài đồng, đã tuyển chọn thành công hai giống lúa cực ngắn ngày có dạng hình đáp ứng được yêu cầu sản xuất. Giống MTL815 có thời gian sinh trưởng 79-83 ngày, gạo trong (bạc bụng cấp 9 là 4,6%), thơm nhẹ, cơm dẻo (amylose 23,5%). Giống MTL816 có thời gian sinh trưởng 80-85 ngày, gạo rất trong (bạc bụng cấp 9 là 0%), thơm, cơm dẻo (amylose 19,2%). Các dòng này cũng được đánh giá khả năng chống chịu rầy nâu, bệnh cháy lá. |
