In Vietnamese law, an investment registration certificate is a written or electronic document that records the investor’s registration information about the investment project. With few special exceptions, this Certificate is a mandatory condition for foreign investors to establish or participate in the establishment of economic organizations in Vietnam, including enterprises and cooperatives. However, the Law on Investment, the Law on Enterprises, and the Law on Cooperatives still have several unreasonable and inconsistent provisions. This leads to difficulties in application of law. Therefore, to improve the Law on Investment of Vietnam, it is necessary to continue improving, amending, and supplementing the provisions of the Law on Investment, the Law on Enterprises, and the Law on Cooperatives.
