This study is to measure the effects of increasing oil blendof fish and soybean oils in goat diet on intake, digestibility, ruminal fermentation and enteric methane emission.Five female goatswere assigned according to a Cross-over Design. The goats were given either basal diet (Ctrl) or basal diet supplemented (DM basis) with 10, 20, 30 and 40 g/kg fish oil and soybean oil blends, namely 1%FSO, 2%FSO, 3%FSO and 4%FSO. Feeding oil blend resulted in linear decrease infeed and nutrient intake (Pdeclined VFA concentration by 32.03% in relative to those fed with 1% FSO (Pcomparison with 1%FSO, inclusion of 4%FSO in goat diet tended to cause a reduction of 13.66% NDF digestibility (P=0.052). Dietary increase of oil blends resulted in a linear decrease of enteric methane emission expressed as g/d, Mj/day (PDMI (Pdecrease of nutrient intake, ruminal VFA concentration, NDF digestibility and methane emission. Oil blend could be added up to 3% in goat diet without affecting rumen function and digestive system.
