This study aimed to evaluate the effects of dietary inclusion of fish, canola and soybean oil on intake, digestibility, ruminal fermentation and methane emission in growing meat goat. Four growing goats were assigned to a 4×4 Latin square design. Animals received either basal diet (Ctrl) or basal diet supplemented with 25 g/kg salmon fish oil (FO), 25 g/kg canola oil (CO), 25 g/kg soybean oil (SO). Fish oil addition reduced intakes of OM, CP and NDF(PThere was no impact of dietary oil inclusion on DM, OM and CP digestibility, but a tendency (P=0.076) to drop NDF digestibility was observed in CO diet relative to the Ctrl. Salmon oil diet showed a highest VFA concentration (84.00 mM) in contrast to the lowest value in CO diet (57.56 mM). Dietary supplementation of FO and CO resulted in drop (Pmethane production expressed as g/d and Mj/day. Animal supplemented with CO showed very low (P94.83 g/d). Overall, inclusion of FO at 25 g/kg DM could be a nutritional strategy to abate methane production, improve product’s healthy FA without affecting rumen function and animal performance.
