Composting of sludge from waste water treatment plants will solve environmental pollution. Therefore the study aimed at reusing sludge from waste water treatment plants of beer processing factories for producing organic fertilizer. Sludge samples were collected at brewery factory in Tien Giang province. Results of after 49 incubation days showed that pH value of both kind of sludge was slightly acid to neutral (6-7). Electric conductivity values were suitable from 0.87 to 1.98mS/cm. The weight loss of incubated samples was 35.87 - 47.56% after 49-day incubation. Organic carbon contents were at high level (31.27 - 42.6%). Total Nitrogen, Phosphorus and Potassium content after 49 incubaqtion days were high at 2.01 - 3.05%N; 6.71 - 8.95%P2O5; and 2.56 - 3.15% K2O, respectively. The population of Salmonella and E. coli were under the permission legislation of the Ministry of Agricultural and Rural Development. The C/N ratio ranged from 12.15 to 19.1. The optimal ratio of mixture is 20% beer sludge and 80% sugarcane filter cake. The period of 49 days is considered to be the suitable incubation time for composting maturuty and stability.
