The Field method plays a significant important role in the process of researching folk literature in general, and fairy tale in particular. The product of the process of collective field is a document that has value in science, which contributing to orient the process of researching of Folklore scientists. Within the scope of this writing, the author presented the basic steps in the process of implementing the Field method, which collected fairy tale in Viet Nam.
