Seed production with high quality and quantity is required more and more in order to feed the large demand of world population, so the live food demand for larviculture such as: algae, rotifer, copepod..., especially Artemia, that could not be replaced by commercial feed because of their essentials nutrients and suitable for mouth size of fish and shrimp larvae. Artemia is culturing in solar saltworks and relying a lot of organic and inorganic fertilizer; in the past, chicken manure is not only commonly used as direct food for Artemia, but also applied to promote the development of algae in fertilization ponds However fertilizatin for Artemia farming was not standardized so far and a lot of problem of water bloom or milky water have been recorded, as a result, high Artemia mortality, low cyst production  were very popular. Utilizing molasses as a cheap and available carbon source combine with fish meal and Artemia formulated feed under laboratory condition to install the feeding strategy for intensive Artemia farming system in Vietnam toward sustainable development is the main objective of this project. The experiment consisted of 2 treatments?: 2 fertilization tanks (mixed of Urea, DAP, Molasses and Fish meal to set up the ratio of C:N:P = 30:3:1 and combination between Ure, DAP and Chicken manure to create N:P = 3:1). Green water from fertilization tanks and 2 levels of feeding (3 and 6kg/hectare/day) with formulated feed are used to feed and compare Artemia performances such as: growth, survival rate and reproductive characteristics, to access water quality parameters (temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen, salinity, TAN, NO2- and NO3-) and algae and bacteria density among treatments during 6 weeks to be discussed.
