A study was carried out at the Experimental farm in Long Hoa commune, Binh Thuy district, Can Tho city. The aim of this study was to determine optimum level of metabolisable energy (ME) in the diets and to evaluate feed utilization, growth performance, nutrient digestibility and carsass performance of growing Californian rabbits. Sixty Californian rabbits at 6 weeks of age were arranged in a completely randomized design with 5 treatments and 3 replications and 4 balanced sex rabbits per experimental unit. The 5 dietary treatments were different ME levels of 10.0; 10.5; 11.0; 11.5 và 12.0 MJ/kgDM feed, respectively. The apparent nutrient digestibility was done on the 12-week old rabbits in 7 days to evaluate apparent nutrient digestibility and nitrogen retention. The results of study indicated that ME intakes increased.
